BEFORE YOU TRAVEL
Terms and Conditions
The booking, cancellation and travel conditions for journeys arranged by Morocco Explorer Tours.
By asking Morocco Explorer Tours to arrange a tour, you accept these conditions for yourself and the other travellers included in your booking. We will confirm the itinerary, price, inclusions and payment instructions in a written proposal or invoice. A booking is confirmed when we receive the required deposit, normally 20% to 30% of the total invoice, as stated in your proposal. Unless your proposal states otherwise, the remaining balance is payable in cash on the day the tour begins.
Changes and cancellations
If you need to change or cancel a confirmed trip, contact us in writing as soon as possible. We will confirm whether a requested change can be arranged. If it cannot, you may keep the original arrangements or cancel under these terms.
- Cancellation received 30 days or more before the tour starts: the deposit is retained.
- Cancellation received less than 30 days before the tour starts: the full tour price is payable and no refund is available.
Events beyond reasonable control—including severe weather, natural disasters, civil unrest, airport or road closures, strikes, terrorism or official travel restrictions—may disrupt a trip. We will discuss practical alternatives, but costs already committed to suppliers may not be refundable. Nothing in these conditions removes any rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.
Special requirements and preferences
Tell us before confirming if anyone travelling has dietary needs, medical requirements, mobility needs or another condition that may affect the tour. Where needed, we may share the relevant information with the suppliers arranging the service. Tell us about preferences such as hotel location or bed configuration when booking. We will try to accommodate them, but a preference is not guaranteed unless it is confirmed in writing.
Transport and itinerary changes
Transport arranged for your tour will use vehicles licensed and insured for tourist transport, with passenger capacity appropriate to the group. Routes and activities may need to change because of weather, road conditions, mechanical issues, supplier availability or a driver's or guide's health. The driver or guide may make reasonable operational adjustments for safety and local conditions. Delays can affect onward connections, so we recommend scheduling flights or other onward travel no earlier than the day after your tour ends.
Travel insurance
All travellers must have suitable travel insurance covering personal belongings, accident or injury, medical expenses and repatriation, including emergency medical transport. Your policy should include at least €5,000 of medical and repatriation cover. We recommend cancellation cover and checking that your policy covers activities you plan to take, including camel or horse riding, trekking, quad biking and travel over rough ground or at altitude.
Travel documents
You are responsible for carrying a valid passport, any required visa and a confirmed return or onward ticket, and for meeting the entry requirements that apply to your nationality. Morocco Explorer Tours is not responsible for costs caused by missing or invalid travel documents, subject to applicable law.
Suppliers and responsibility
Some elements of a trip are supplied by independent hotels, carriers, guides or activity operators. We coordinate the services described in your confirmed proposal and will help address problems reported during the trip. We are not responsible for a supplier's actions or for circumstances beyond our reasonable control, except where applicable law makes us responsible.
Safety equipment
For cycling or other activities, the availability and standard of locally supplied protective equipment can vary. Ask us before booking if you have a specific equipment requirement; you may prefer to bring your own properly fitted equipment.
Privacy and photographs
We use booking information to arrange the services you request and share relevant details with the suppliers involved. We will ask for your permission before using identifiable photographs or a case study from your trip in public promotional material. See our Privacy Policy for details about information handling.
Complaints
If an issue arises during your tour, tell your driver, guide or accommodation provider promptly so they can try to resolve it. If it remains unresolved, contact us with the details while you are still travelling when possible; this gives us the best opportunity to help.
